Cogs In The Wheel
The simple goal throughout the training is to generate web traffic (get better visibility) so you can generate leads (get phone calls) for your project and your client.
There's a few ways to accomplish this:
- Build your own web properties (Rank 'n Rent model*).
- Build out customer properties (SEO model).
- Consult businesses (Consulting model).
* We're not in the business of renting out websites, we're in the business of renting out results (leads).
You must learn EVERY COG (skillset) which includes the following:
- Correct site build out
- Correct content build out
- GMB – Google Local
- Social properties (e.g. Facebook)
- Video / YouTube
- Citations
- Backlinks
- Adwords (paid traffic)
Monetization
- This is NOT a hobby. This is a real business (make sure you register it with you state). You will become an expert in web leads, traffic, and phone calls.
- There are several ways to generate income using your new skillset for your own business or a client:
- COMMISSION
• Lowest risk for business owner
• Not the most secure for you, difficult to track
• You must have trust with business owner - PAY PER LEAD / PAY PER CALL
• Very little risk for business owner
• Can be for your own web properties or a client's
- FLAT FEE
• Largest risk for business owner
• Predictable monthly income for you
• Can be for lead generation or SEO services
4. HYBRID
• A combination of any of the following:
commission, pay per lead, or flat fee
5. ARBITRAGE
• You become the business owner
• Grunt work, less time freedom
6. CONSULTING
• Teaching and educating a company
• Not residual (but usually lucrative)
